Tadpoles for the Reedbed Filtration

Energy Conservation Notice

The Schoolhouse has been restored using recycled materials where possible and sustainable energy sources have been installed to provide central heating, domestic hot water and rainwater for flushing toilets. It is our hope that you will enjoy your holiday and get pleasure from the knowledge that during your stay the energy used to provide the comforts in the schoolhouse were from sustainable sources ( pellet boiler and Solar panels). The electricity supply is from Airtricity who generate from wind turbines on the neighbouring mountains.

The waste water goes through 4 stages of treatment. The final process is the reed bed where the treated water happily supports our native tadpoles and nymph life
